The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity is built on core values that push us to become better men. The Alpha Rho chapter strives to embody those values by pursuing excellence in our community and classrooms.
Building on a foundation of brotherhood that Pi Kappa Alpha gives, the active members of the Alpha Rho chapter use this bond to spread good works into the community around us. As active participants in community service and charity work, the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity believes that using our strength in numbers to give back to others builds us as individuals, and pushes us towards excellence.
The Alpha Rho chapter is a growing organization. We have doubled in size over the last four years and passed the 100 member mark in the Spring of 2017. A new house also signals the growth of the organization, with over $200,000 in renovations completed over the summer, in preparation for Fall 2014.
Building our Brotherhood
At Pike, we're looking for men who embody our fraternity's core values of striving to be a better Scholar, Leader, Athlete, and Gentleman. We maintain a strict no-hazing policy, as we believe that it is detrimental to both our brotherhood and our organization.
Informal rush for second years and above will take place in the Fall of 2017 while formal rush occurs in Spring 2018. Both formal and informal rush will be coordinated through our sitting Rush Chair whose contact information can be found here.
We believe in the importance of virtue and commit to living the values of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. We recognize that truth is the foundation of all lasting association, and we will seek wisdom and knowledge while serving others in modesty and dignity.
Recalling that Pi Kappa Alpha is a lifelong commitment, I therefore reaffirm to live my life with honor and courage seeking the inherent worth in each person I meet; to accept all brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha in love and friendship; and to serve my faith, my family, my community, my alma mater, and my Fraternity.
Only then, by living these virtues, will we realize our fullest potential.
